“ We were looking for something different and found it at Down Home Elegance. They do mostly carry out, but they did let us and some others eat in. The food was very good. The turkey ribs were smoked, and they were , yes, I said turkey ribs. Go ask em were the rib comes from, and theyll tell you. The wing was baked, but it was good. The Yams were cooked perfectly. I would have liked a little more flavor in my greens, but they are not using any pork in them, for you all that dont eat pork. The cornbread dressing was just that, nothing super special. The food is good and satisfying, and I would recommend them as a goto because we will go again. Also, I had a piece of Carrot Cake, of course, I ate it no picture. Give them a try if you ate ever in North St. Louis off I270, just before crossing back into Illinois. Very nice people, which is as important as the food. ”
